HALALAN (Pitong Diona)

Larawan mula sa asianjournal.com

Panahon ng halalan
Matindi ang pilian
Paparating na naman

Kay daming kandidato
Ika'y dapat matuto
Para hindi mauto

Maraming ipapaskil
Sa ganda'y 'wag pa-siil
Matuto kang magpigil

Puro sila pangako
Kaya, kaibigan ko,
Isipan ay itrangko

Kung lahat sa pamilya
Tatakbong walang palya
Isa na 'yang dinastiya

May tiwali o kurakot
May magaling manakot
May isip na baluktot

Kung gusto mong umunlad
Solusyong nakalahad
Nasa 'yong mga palad

Diona - uri ng tulang Pilipino na may pitong pintig sa bawat taludtod, may tatlong taludtod at may isahang tugmaan

MAHALAGANG PAALALA:
Ang "HALALAN" ay isang lahok sa Saranggola Blog Awards 7.

#buqoYA 1: Taking Chances Blog Tour

Raffy the Quizzard here!

Here's my turn to go for the #buqoYA 1: Taking Chances Blog Tour, presented by our friends from the Oops! I Read a Book Again blog site!

Bundle Review
Overall, I was satisfied on the bundle where my story is included. All stories tackled the roller-coaster relationship between men and women, whatever the situation is, wherever and whenever it happens. Of course, as the name suggests, the protagonists are young adult people, mostly students.

There is one story in this bundle which I highly recommend. No, not my story. Here it is:

Story Review
Second Sight to Forever by Racquel Sarah A. Castro

Out of the stories in this bundle, I liked SSTF the most. It tackles the relationship between a dancer and a varsity basketball player - that blossomed while the girl's dad is spying her activities through one of her friends. (Anyway, why is he spying his own daughter?) The spark factor (like the lyrics of Hilary Duff's latest single) was there, 110 percent.

In short, this story made me fall in love more with YA romance!

Other Stories
Here are the other stories in the bundle:

A Portrait of Jade by Justine Camacho-Tajonera
Never Too Late by Jen C. Suguitan
After the Moment by Six de los Reyes
When a KISS Falls by Kaye Dee

and of course... Loving You All My Life by yours truly.

The fulfillment of my dream

April 25 | Greenfield District, Mandaluyong City

My dream to write a story was fulfilled upon the launching of buqo.ph's young adult stories series (#buqoYA).

I enjoyed the night with my fellow authors, as well as Miss Mina and Miss Maxin.

We ate dinner together, spent the launch together underneath the stars, and celebrated the fulfillment of our dreams.

The #buqoYA series has five bundles, namely: Taking Chances (which includes my story Loving You All My Life),  Sweet Complications, Finding Fairytales, Heart Choices and Perfect Moments.

Please support us all the way!

My #BuqoYA Experience

It's me with ma'am Mina!

On December 12, 2014, I signed up to Ms. Mina V. Esguerra's partnership project with the country's fastest-growing online bookstore, Buqo.

We started the mostly online class (with two face-to-face classes, one of which was the one I attended yesterday) on January 19 and it ended on February 28 (yesterday).

The mission? Make a 5,000-word minimum young adult (YA) story within two months.

Well, what did I learn from the #buqoYA class?

1. Time management is important. Upon the last two weeks of the class, I almost stopped due to the schedule of my university class activities. But upon focusing on the important things, I managed to finish my story on time.

2. Improve your story. Through interaction with my friends, I deduced the areas where my story has strengths and weaknesses.

3. Treasure your story as if it's the coveted Yamashita treasure chest. I learned how to treat my story as my own treasure.

By the way, my story is titled Loving You All My Life.

Please support me and my #buqoYA class mates as we embark into the journey of publishing!
